In a rush and it looked easy, but it isn't. Instructions have to be studied. A day later, I decided to google it & found the videos for installing each part. Big, big help, they are.I did not notice the locking valve on the filler, & found it by luck. I wasn't sure about setting its height & had to use the 2nd unit to find out, as I already had installed the 1st unit. I thought it would work like the old Fluidmaster I had in. I also see that other reviewers found out that the overflow tube has to be 8" Lucky mine is. I did not know that the dual converter came apart, & that the flapper could be installed first, to make sure it sealed in the drain. I was lucky as I installed the entire assembled unit. Checking it I do not have a leak problem after blindly installing the unit. The manual is OK, but the videos are so much informative. Especially on... Installation was not too difficult, a word of warning however. Becareful attaching the flushing mechanism to your existing overflow tube, both of mine broke. It could have been just cheap plastic or perhaps those cleaning tablets take their toll on the internals as well. I had to run to HD a pick up two new over-flow tubes as well, a bit more work... Time will only tell how well these hold up, I hope for the best. |
